Immediate Move To Remote Working For All CPS Colleagues

CPS’ overriding priority in response to the global #Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is the safety of our colleagues, our families and their loved-ones, our customers and our business partners. Accordingly, it is vital that we implement a company-wide remote working strategy, with immediate effect.
Effective 5.30pm today, Wednesday 18th March, CPS head office will be closed for all but essential visits. Safeguarding procedures are in place for anyone who does need to attend the office.
All colleagues have been advised to travel only when their trip is necessary.
CPS’ department heads have been working closely with their teams and our customers to ensure that we are fully ready to carry out our business, and continue to provide our services, whilst being fully remote. All CPS’ essential systems are cloud enabled and everyone is able to work remotely, wherever that may be, using Microsoft’s collaboration tools. CPS already operates a fully remote model for all colleagues who choose to be agile so it’s a small leap to extend that to a constant model and one which also fully embraces all customers and business partners.
Some of our customers will decline, or be unable, to receive our services remotely and for those we will still attend their site as required, whilst rigorously observing advised precautionary measures to ensure the health & wellbeing of all parties. CPS colleagues involved in such projects will look to their Engagement Lead for the agreed guidance.
From extensive customer collaboration and consultation, we are confident that the impact to their businesses and their projects will be minimal. As usual, CPS will work dynamically to suit the ever-changing situation as the impact of the pandemic continues to unfold.
We maintain that the risk to CPS, our customers and our partners remains low but it is sensible to take these precautions at such a challenging time. We will continue to monitor advice from Government and Public Health England (PHE) and will adjust our position as appropriate.
