Garry Trinder, MVP Solutions Architect


Garry is a Microsoft Office Development MVP with over 10 years’ experience  working with SharePoint products in various capacities from administrator, power user, developer and consultant.

A big proponent of applying Agile principles and DevOps practices to help deliver great outcomes, he uses his wide knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud (Microsoft 365, PowerPlatform, Azure) to design and architect solutions that provide the desired outcomes within the constraints of an organisation.

Outside of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Garry has also delivered solutions using Azure, with a focus on serverless based technologies to provide cost effective & scalable solutions.

Garry is a member of the Patterns and Practices (PnP) team and a maintainer of the Office 365 CLI open source project, using his skills to build, maintain and drive the productivity of developers and administrators using the platform.

Professional Experience

Development:  An expert in SharePoint development, Garry has experience of developing and leading teams, from building server side solutions, SharePoint Apps and now SharePoint Framework applications in SharePoint Online, as well as solutions that utilise the Microsoft Graph.

Automation:  Moving to the cloud brings its own needs in regards to process automation. Garry has experience of building automation solutions in the Microsoft cloud using Azure services and Power Automate.

PowerPlatform:  Garry has designed and implemented low-code applications using Power Apps and Power Automate to rapidly develop and release solutions within organisations to meet business needs.

SharePoint On-Premises:  Managing and configuring SharePoint farms since SharePoint 2001, Garry has a vast knowledge of the inner workings of SharePoint throughout its many iterations.
