What were our expectations?
We knew that we needed an EPM solution and Project Server seemed the ideal fit. However, we had reservations over the scope of our implementation – it seemed very small scale compared to CPS’ usual client base.
CPS took the time to understand our position and impressed upon us the benefits of Project Server, whilst at the same time avoiding the typical ‘hard sell’ typified by many system vendors.
CPS were very happy to ‘hold our hands’ and guided us through implementation process; they recognised our concerns and adjusted their approach accordingly.
What influenced our decision to work with CPS?
Besides the fact that there were employees within the department with previous experience of working with CPS, it became very evident early on in the tender process that CPS are the market leaders in the area of EPM solution implementations.
We saw in CPS a demonstrable level of knowledge, experience and professionalism, coupled with a genuinely customer focused approach, which appealed to us.
What was our experience of working with CPS?
Given our concerns, CPS took the time to understand our project processes and customise the implementation so that it fitted around our needs. Both Mike (Mahoney) and Michael (Diekmann) absorbed our particular terminology and their undoubted experience was put to good use over a very short period of time to deliver a solution that mirrored our vision.
Another factor that aided the successful implementation of the EPM solution was CPS’ ability to be flexible with respect to our requirements. There was an existing familiarity of Project Server within the department so we wanted to skip some of the more formal aspects of envisioning the solution. CPS was able to deliver a customised implementation plan for us.
Following the successful implementation of Project Server, CPS have continued to follow up with us in an informal manner, thus reinforcing their customer friendly style.
