With over 128 miles of rough, rutted tracks covered in just three days, ten brave members of Corporate Project Solutions (CPS) have just cycled off-road from the CPS Marlow office to the CPS Bristol office to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Training began at the start of the year with the team setting-off on their gruelling challenge on Friday 24 April. Several punctures, broken pedals and minor detours later, all of the team successfully reached Bristol on Sunday afternoon, raising over £3,000 for charity.
Ivan Lloyd, CPS Director comments; ‘We left Marlow full of confidence, keen to build on the success of our 2008 Charity bike ride. We quickly realised we were in for a tough ride especially on Saturday when strong winds made for particularly tough riding along the Ridgeway National Trail. We all made it through though and I think I speak for all of us when I say we’ve never been so glad to see the office!’
The money raised will go to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC). Every year GOSHCC need to raise over £50 million to help replace cramped, outdated wards with new modern facilities, provide essential equipment and fund essential research to find treatments and cures for complex and difficult illnesses. www.gosh.org
