Basic Project 2010 - CPS 101, 1 day This course is aimed at Project Managers, Line Managers, Team Leaders or Planners who need to use Microsoft Project to create, manage and resource plans. By the end of the course the delegates will be able to develop structured, logically linked, resourced plans and monitor them using baseline and tracking techniques. They will also learn how to identify and manage resource over allocation.
Project Server 2010 User - CPS 103, 2 days Aimed at Project Managers, Resource Managers, Team Leaders and Planners who will use Microsoft Project as part of the Project Server solution, this course focuses on the differences in Microsoft Project once connected to the Project Server and the Project Web Access client. Here the delegates will learn to use the features that assist with running projects, such as task updates, resource allocation reporting and timesheets. There will also be an opportunity to touch on other areas such as Portfolio Server and Demand Management.
Project Server 2010 Administration - CPS 108, 3 days Designed for those people who will be maintaining the system on a day to day basis, the administration course explores the fundamental functionality for daily maintenance including the Project Cache, managing the Queue, Calendars, the Resource Pool and Importing plans. This course compliments the Project Server configuration course giving organisations the opportunity to split Project Server responsibility and allow team members to support each other.
Project Server 2010 Configuration - CPS 109, 5 days This course is aimed at the Project Support Office and those who will administer the Project Server environment. On completion, the delegate will be able to maintain the system fully, troubleshoot for the Project Office and modify the system to conform to company demands and development. The course content includes aspects of reporting through Excel Services and the configuration of the permission model to allow users to access the areas required.
Project 2007 Standard - CPS 701, 1 day Aimed at Project Managers, Line Managers, Team Leaders or Planners who need to create and manage plans and resources using Microsoft Project. At the end of the course delegates will be able to develop structured, logically linked, resourced plans and monitor them using baseline and tracking techniques. Prerequisites: An understanding of planning concepts and processes.
Project 2007 Advanced - CPS 702, 1 day Aimed at Programme Managers, Project Managers, Line Managers, Team Leaders or Planners who need to manage individual or groups of plans and resources using Microsoft Project. At the end of the course delegates will be able to create complex master and sub-project plans, use central resource pools and understand the costing and earned value capabilities of Microsoft Project. Prerequisites: CPS 701 or equivalent.
Project 2007 Professional - CPS 703, 1 day Aimed at those who need to manage plans within an EPM environment. At the end of the course delegates will understand how to use the collaborative functions of MS Project including Build Team from Enterprise, Publishing and how to update plans from timesheets. Delegates will also understand the additional capabilities of Project Web Access, including Data Analysis and Project Workspaces. Prerequisites: CPS 301/701 or equivalent.
EPM 2007 Administrator - CPS 708, 5 days Aimed at Project Support Office and those who will administer the Project Server. On completion delegates will be able to create and maintain users, understand permissioning, edit and manage both the Enterprise Global and Enterprise Resource Pool, create Custom Fields and Views in both MSP and PWA. Delegates will also be able to carry out limited database administration. Prerequisites: CPS 701 and 703 or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist exam prep Microsoft Project 2010, Managing Projects. Successful completion of this course will enable delegates to fully understand the capabilities of Microsoft Project 2010 Standard and prepare them to undertake the Microsoft exam to attain the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist accreditation.
