As the company expanded, through growth and acquisition, its technology infrastructure and project delivery systems became increasingly complex and diverse as different processes and technologies were integrated into the lastminute.com enterprise.
Terry Dewhurst was appointed as Director of Transformation, and initiated and led the transformation programme.
In 2008, Terry started to radically improve delivery of change within lastminute.com, with the objective of creating a framework within which the executive leadership would be able to make strategic decisions which would both reflect international business priorities and also take account of the resources they had at their disposal. The transformation programme was launched and named Z-ETA (being a derivative of “Zen and the art of EMEA Technology Abilities”) and its vision was to deliver all aspects of improvement within technology and project delivery at lastminute.com.

on 05 Jan 2012 09:48 Sometimes reporting in Excel Services isn’t as simple as just reading a view or table from the reporting database, or a basic select statement directly from Excel itself. Occasionally, you might want to pull back data from a variety of tables or views and carry out some pre-filtering on the data before presenting it to the user. The beauty of Excel Services is that it allows you to not only use TSQL directly against your specified database, but also to call Stored Procedures.
In order to do this, simply create your stored procedure in SQL, as you would normally:
 When creating you Excel report, simply reference the stored procedure in the connection page:
 After publishing the report to SharePoint the Secure Store Service (SSS) will take care of the rest. It should have sufficient permission to run these stored procedures from the reporting database:
